Adjuntas…the city of the sleeping giant.
Large Mountains simulating a sleeping giant…
whereever you go in Adjuntas there is coffee
waterfalls and beautiful flowers, bananas and plants.
Adjuntas is one of the biggest coffee producers.
In the Plaza, Casa Pueblo is the community roasterhouse
and hydroponics lettuces.
Bosque Del Pueblo is administrated by the community
after it was rescued from miningdevelopers.
In Guilarte Forest you can find Indian culture
and beautiful trails and trees.
Hacienda Pellejas, 2,000 acres development of
coffee, bananas, oranges, plantains and
selected bulls for meat.
Coffeecropping starts in September to January
and families in the mountain participate in
cropping the seed one by one to make the best
coffee in the zone.
Café Bello crop, elaborate and roast the grain to sell
it in small quantities in the city.
Adjuntas has the Agricultural Extension Service Station
with hundreds of experimental plantations
including apples and peaches.
The weather is fresh, sometimes at night
the temperature could go down into the 60’s.
Last year made a record close to 49 degrees in December.
Houses are very Spanish with large balconies
and 6 panel ceilings and vitrals on the doors.
Family is important for the adjuntas citizens.
